Java Center, N.Y. -- Two men were indicted Tuesday on theft and illegal possession of firearms, including two "sawed off" shotguns.
Daniel Lewandowski and William Webster were accused of breaking into the Wyoming Gun Center in Java Center, N.Y. and stealing 15 firearms.
Lewandowski and Webster were also accused of then shortening two .410 shotguns into illegal "sawed off" weapons.
On July 25, Lewandowski allegedly took one of those sawed off shotguns and shot at several car windows, signs and residences.
All of the stolen firearms have been recovered by law enforcement.
Each of the five counts the two men were convicted on carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000 or both.
Both suspects are currently being held without bail. A detention hearing is scheduled for Sept. 13.
