UPDATE: Johnson was released from the hospital, but as of Friday morning, Nancy Wilbur, 59, remains in guarded condition.

Hopewell, N.Y. - Two women were seriously hurt in a three car crash in Hopewell Thursday afternoon.

Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies said Laura Johnson, 29, of Newark, crossed the center line just before 4:30 p.m. Thursday on State Route 21.

Investigators said she crashed head-on into a car driven by Nancey Wilbur, 59, of Shortsville. Deputies said the impact of the crash pushed Wilbur's car into a truck that was behind her. The truck was driven by Christopher Howland, 54, of Palmyra.

Johnson, who was originally listed in guarded condition at Strong Hospital with injuries to her arm and shoulder, was released from the hospital, but Wilbur was still in critical condition Friday morning.

Howland was treated at the scene for his injuries.

A three-year-old and a three-week-old child were passengers in Johnson's vehicle. They were not seriously hurt.
