Buffalo, N.Y. - The University at Buffalo says it will demolish its inactive nuclear research reactor over the next two years.

The university indicated its research center hasn't been used since 1994, and all radioactive fuel was taken away in 2005.

Water tanks and contaminated soil under the building will be removed.

A public forum is scheduled for Thursday night.
