Seoul, S. Korea (AP) - Some 10,000 South Korean and 3,000 American troops are taking part in military drills as they closely monitor Pyongyang.
North Korea regularly claims the annual practice is in preparation for an invasion, but the North is causing worries with more threats after last week's U.N. vote to impose additional sanctions on the communist nation.
North Korea warned its southern neighbor of a nuclear war saying it was cancelling nonaggression pacts.
