China and the United States have reportedly agreed on new sanctions against North Korea in response to its test of a nuclear weapon last month, according to United Nations diplomats.

The UN Security Council will meet later today behind closed doors to set their own sanctions.

Both sets of sanctions come after North Korea conducted another nuclear test despite several warnings against it.

North Korea recently threatened the U.S. with action if more sanctions were imposed.
