Batavia, N.Y. – A local hospital is set to expand its role as a teaching hospital.
United Memorial Medical Center announced Monday morning it will become a site for the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Residency Program.
Four residents will be accepted each year of the program. They will live in the community during their time in the program and receive compensation and benefits.
The hospital was credentialed and approved for the program in August.
