Rochester, N.Y.- Rochester firefighters are still trying to determine what caused a fire at a vacant house Monday morning.

It started shortly after 9 a.m. on Lorenzo Street.

The flames spread to the home next door. No one was hurt.

Investigators say the fire is suspicious.

“Any time you have a fire at a vacant, you’re suspicious of it because there’s no real reason for it to start,” said Lt. Edward Kuppinger of the Rochester Fire Department. “Once the electric's been cut and the gas has been cut, there's no real reason for fire to start in those buildings."
