San Francisco/Rochester, NY - Van Halen fans holding on to tickets for the postponed Blue Cross Arena concert may get to see them after all -– although it wouldn’t be until 2013.
The band recently announced it was postponing all the concerts it had scheduled this summer, which included Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena on July 17.
Ticket holders have been told to hang on to them until a new date is scheduled.
Immediately, there were press reports that the band was not getting along and that the tour would be canceled altogether, but Eddie Van Halen denies that in
USA Today. When asked about scheduling the tour, the guitarist said: “We bit off more than we could chew. This record took a lot out of us. And we went on tour earlier than we wanted to, so we could play Madison Square Garden (in March, before a renovation), and that threw the schedule out of whack.. in the new year we’ll possibly do something special, but I can’t talk about it.”
The
USA Today story does not mention any specific concert dates.
