Rochester, N.Y. - Alex Hare is asking the teens who made racial slurs and threatened him in the video to apologize: "I want a public apology from all of them and their families."

Alex said the video was shocking, "I was appalled, disgusted, don't know why they would make it."

The 16 year old admits in September he asked one of the teens, Amanda Farabella, to send him explicit pictures. But,"it doesn't justify what they did on the video," Alex said.

Alex's mother Michelle joined with local community activists to denounce the video and call on the community to rally against this form of racism and bullying.

David Vera, who posted the video to his blog and Howard Eagle said the video was "deplorable and disgusting."

They also said the issue is bigger than just this one incident. They will hold a rally and a march in Greece Thursday at 4 p.m. beginning near Barnard Park.

Vera said, "I will not allow the issue of race to be swept under the rug... We are bringing an action Thursday. This is going to be in your face, but peaceful."

The activists said they are non-violent, but will not let this issue go until people become involved to stop this kind of behavior.

"We are peaceful, but this will not go away," Vera said.
