"I have had 23 years of courtroom experience and what I think that does for me is that gives me the ability to be seasoned in the courtroom and to be really a veteran of a lot of experiences in the courtroom,” Sessler said while campaigning on Monday. “It gives me a broad perspective."
"I know I'm the most qualified,” Schiener said of his candidacy and campaign on Monday. “I know I'm the best guy for the job and so this whole summer has been trying to get back to where I belong."
Schiener received the support of the county’s Republican Party Committee at the convention earlier this year. While he’s working to secure an independent party line Schiener said he has no plans to continue his campaign should he lose in the primary.
