Irondequoit, N.Y. - The Irondequoit Town Board on Wednesday delayed a vote to give 25 years of tax breaks to the I-Square project.

The town was to vote on tax incentives if the developer reached certain benchmarks 15 and 20 years into the project.

But town board members said they delayed the vote because of a lack of specifics on those benchmarks.

If the vote had been approved Wednesday night, the developer said construction could have begun in the spring.
