Niagara Falls, N.Y. - High wire walker Nik Wallenda is responding to the city of Niagara Falls over claims that he owes them $25,000.

According to state legislation, the promoters and event organizer would cover all costs associated with public safety. That would mean Wallenda owes the city roughly $25,000 for overtime.

Wallenda responded Monday, "I have fulfilled each and every obligation of that contract, fiduciary or otherwise, one hundred percent…there is not a contract with the city of Niagara Falls. To suggest otherwise is a blatant misrepresentation."
