Batavia, N.Y. – A Walmart cashier was sent to the hospital with multiple facial injuries after being punched on Christmas Eve.

State Police say Jacquetta Simmons, 26, punched the cashier in the face after being asked for a receipt for the items in her bag.

The cashier, Grace Suozzi, 70, was taken to United Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Suozzi has been discharged from the hospital.

Simmons was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree assault. She was taken to Genesee County Jail on $20,000 bail, $40,000 bond.

She is scheduled to be back in court in January.
