Warsaw, N.Y. -- The Warsaw Board of Education accepted the resignation of Superintendent of Schools Valerie Burke Tuesday evening. The resignation is effective immediately.
The resignation comes one week after her
2011 DWI arrest came to light.
Elementary Principal Stephen Saxton will serve as Acting Superintendent of Schools, as board members immediately begin a search for a permanent successor.
