Brighton, N.Y. - The Town of Brighton is moving ahead to have Rochester firefighters help staff the West Brighton Fire District.
Town leaders say the move would save money and provide better service.
Some firefighters and residents disagree and they filed a lawsuit to stop it.
A judge signed off on the contract Thursday with the understanding it would be voided if residents vote to dissolve the fire district.
