WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) - Do you enjoy taking orders and standing at attention? If so, you might want to volunteer at West Point.

The U.S. Military Academy relies each year on volunteers to help cadets practice how they will welcome incoming classmates to the rigors military life. This year's reception day - called R-Day - is July 2. The practice with volunteer civilians is June 29.

Would-be volunteers should be prepared to toe the line, even if barked commands from cadets are delivered with a wink.

Volunteers must be 12 and older and in good health. They should bring a duffel bag.

People interested are asked to call (845) 938-8686 or sign up online from the academy's web site.
