Brighton, N.Y. - The traffic switch at the Winton/I-590 was postponed, and won’t begin until 9 p.m. Monday, September 10, during the overnight hours through Tuesday morning at 6 a.m.
On Tuesday morning, September 11, when the roads re-open, the new Diverging Diamond traffic pattern will be in place.
Winton Road will be closed between the north side of French Road and the south side of the Cambridge Place (the signalized intersections that are immediately south and north of I-590 interchange, respectively).
The entrance and exit ramps to and from the I-590 expressway (Exit 1) will also be closed.
Detours will be posted.
The construction schedule calls for road work to continue until October. Subsequent weekend closures are currently scheduled for the following dates, assuming weather allows:
• Friday evening, September 14 through Sunday, September 16
• Friday evening, September 21 through Sunday, September 23
