Gates, N.Y. - A woman managed to get out of her car just before it caught fire.
This happened on Landstone Terrace and Elmgrove Rd. in Gates around 9:15 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the woman smelled smoke and pulled over. Moments after getting out of the car, it caught fire.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly. They believe it was caused by an electrical problem.
The woman was not hurt.
