Buffalo, N.Y. - Police are still looking for the person who shot and killed a 33-year-old woman on the grounds of the Erie County Medical Center.

Police are looking for trauma surgeon Timothy Jorden Jr., 49, in connection with the shooting.

Jorden served in the Army and may have special weapons training.

Police have blocked off the road leading to his suburban home in Lakeview and electric crews also turned off power there.

Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said the shooting happened around 8:15 a.m. and the hospital went into lockdown.

That lockdown was lifted around noon, but normal operations have not resumed at the David K. Miller building on the campus.

Police said this was not a random shooting and the victim was shot several times inside the Miller building next to the hospital that handles outpatient services.

The Buffalo SWAT team responded to the shooting along with a helicopter to search the area.
