Albany, N.Y. - Employers in New York State will be paying less for workers' compensation premiums
The Cuomo administration says premiums will be lowered by 1.2 percent -- the first reduction in four years.
Other changes include capping the number of years in which certain benefits are paid, new medical treatment guidelines, and improving the calculation of loss-of-wage earning capacity.
The Department of Financial Services says its decision was due in part to recent reforms.
