Rochester, N.Y. - Jurors delivered a not guilty verdict on all counts Friday afternoon in the murder case against Max Wyant.
The Brighton man faced a murder charge in the death of Christopher "C.J." Schoen in February.
Wyant's attorney argued his client acted in self defense.
In addition to the not guilty verdict on the murder charge, jurors also voted not guilty on lesser charges against Wyant.
Schoen's family left the courtroom in tears.
Valerie Cottrell, Schoen's mother, spoke with 13WHAM shortly after the verdict was read.
"If you looked at [Wyant's] face, there was no emotion. He didn't care that he killed somebody, that he took a life," Cottrell said. "He took my son away from me. My future daughter-in-law, grandkids, everything -- he took it all away from us."
