Rochester, N.Y. - Xerox is making a change to its health benefits for retirees.

Starting in January - the company will no longer offer coverage to people 65 and older, who are Medicare eligible.

A spokeman for the company says that Xerox had already stopped providing a subsidy for those retirees in 2010.

It had offered plans through the company, but the retiree had to pay the cost of the premium. Xerox says that now with improvements in various Medicare supplemental insurance offerings, it has seen fewer retirees want to obtain that coverage through Xerox.

Currently, only 20 percent of eligible retirees buy that health coverage through Xerox.
