When asked if he was proud of how the home looked Knowlton replied in July, “No!  I can see why people would be upset in the condition the house is in but you know when you're caught between a rock and a hard place what are you supposed to do?"

Knowlton spoke to 13WHAM News over the phone on Monday and explained that much had been going on behind the scenes over the last few months.  Knowlton put the property up for sale, he said he had numerous potential buyers contact him, and he said that he has a pending sale with one of those buyers that could be finalized in the next couple of weeks.

That would be welcome news to neighbors like Henry.

"After 15 years you kind of get used to seeing it there but it's been this way for so long," Henry shrugged.

A City of Rochester spokesman said via email that “there is a resolution in the works for that property and one that would be welcome by all.”  The spokesman also acknowledged that the resolution may take a few more weeks.
