Rochester, N.Y. – Friday’s heavy snowfall created a mess at the Greater Rochester International Airport.
Most flights were cancelled Friday evening and Saturday morning.
By Saturday afternoon, the arrival and departure boards looked much better, although there were still some cancellations or delays on flights to and from the Northeast.
Most of the travelers we caught up with Saturday had no problems.
“We went from Delta (Airlines) all the way through,” said Karen Walsh of Honeoye Falls, returning home from Miami. “We got off in Atlanta, we didn’t experience any difficulties coming home.”
“Greater Rochester airport’s done a great job on it’s snow removal as well,” said Wayne Hoskins of Auburn, Cayuga County, as he prepared to fly to Orlando.
As of late Saturday night, all flights for Sunday were on as scheduled. Boston’s Logan Airport was closed most of the day Saturday, but was expected to open by midnight.
