Rochester, N.Y.- A former NFL player and father to two of the most famous quarterbacks in the game was in Rochester Wednesday.

Archie Manning, former New Orleans Saints quarterback and father to Super Bowl Champions Peyton and Eli Manning, spoke at the Ben R. Giambrone/Compeer Rochester Sports Luncheon.

Peyton Manning is the quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Eli Manning quarterbacks for the New York Giants.

Manning says he’s proud of his sons and tries to split his time watching their games.

"We don't go every Sunday,” said Manning. “It's too much. I don't like to smother my kids. We'll go to New York three or four times and we go to Denver three or four times, that's enough. We stay home some, watch it on T.V., go crazy. We don't go to many away games; it's kind of hostile."

At Wednesday’s luncheon, Jackie Nentarz, Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Spencerport High School and Girls Modified Soccer Coach in Spencerport, received the first-ever Compeer High School Coach of Year Award.

Compeer is a local non-profit organization providing mentoring and skill-building services for children and adults receiving mental health services.

Proceeds from this year's event will support the CompeerCORPS vet-to-vet peer mentoring service.
