Rochester, N.Y. – Swimmers will once again be left high and dry at Ontario and Hamlin Beaches.

The Monroe County Health Department has closed swimming at the beaches for the day because of high bacteria levels in the water. Ontario Beach will remain open for all other activities.

Bacteria in the water closed swimming last week when temperatures climbed into the 90s.

Durand Eastman beach is open for swimming on Sunday until 7 p.m.
