Greece, N.Y. - It was a busy few days for a robbery suspect. Police say 52-year-old Kevin Wood allegedly stole a van in Gates on December 1 and then drove it to rob the Reliant Federal Credit Union in Irondequoit Wednesday morning.

Police and the FBI received information that Wood was at the Greece Marriott. They were waiting when he arrived. Police said Wood took off and hit two parked cars before he crashed into a utility pole.

Kenneth Hayes reported his 1995 Dodge Caravan stolen on December 1. He said someone went into his garage, stole a key that was stashed there and drove away.

Hayes said police called him to say the van had been found and the suspect caught. He is relieved, but angry that his van was stolen.

"I feel real mad, I hope something gets done with this guy. So he can't do it to nobody else."

Kevin Wood is charged with robbery, grand larceny and possession of a stolen car. He is also facing parole violations. Wood was arraigned in Irondequoit Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail.
