Irondequoit, N.Y. – The Irondequoit Bay Bridge westbound lanes are closed and will reopen around 12 p.m. on Sunday, October 7th.
The lane closures are part of an ongoing $14 million construction project that started last year and is expected to be complete in November.
This planned closure is the fourth and final weekend closure of Bay Bridge.
There are posted detours which direct traffic to take Bay Road to Empire Boulevard to Route 590 then back on to Route 104.
New York State DOT is urging motorists to pre-plan trips and consider alternate routes while the bridge is closed.
