SYLVAN BEACH, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have released the names and hometowns of a 66-year-old man and his two adult sons who were killed when their boat struck a buoy on a central New York lake during a nighttime outing.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says the crash killed Anthony Aceto (ah-SEE'-toh) of Utica; 41-year-old Stephen Aceto, of Tampa, Fla.; and 33-year-old Timothy Aceto, of Deerfield.

A third son, a 39-year-old from Whitesboro also named Anthony, was rescued. He's in a Utica hospital.

The accident happened late Thursday night on Oneida Lake's eastern end.

Police say the open-bow boat sank after hitting the concrete base of a buoy in an area known as Messenger Shoal. Officials say the cause of the crash is being investigated.
