Rochester, N.Y. - Classrooms at Henry Hudson School #28 in the city have been uncomfortably cold since students returned from winter recess.
RCSD officials say a clog in the school's boiler line have led to the heating issues.
While some classrooms are uncomfortably warm, others are too cool for comfort. The district is using space heaters to warm up those classrooms.
District leaders are asking students to wear warmer sweaters and sweatshirts until they can fix the issue.
To help remedy the problem, the school is setting building thermostats at 72 degrees continuously, keeping all heating vents clear and flushing open boiler lines to improve the efficiency of the boiler system.
