Rochester, N.Y. – Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band’s “Wrecking Ball” tour came to Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena a day later than expected thanks to Hurricane Sandy, and Sandy was very much on “The Boss’” mind.
Springsteen, a New Jersey native dedicated “My City of Ruins” to Asbury Park. He also thanked first responders and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for all they’ve done in the last few days.
The concert was to have been October 30th, but flight cancellations for the band and fans meant it had to be rescheduled.
The evening though was not a somber one. The new show fell on Halloween, so the band had some fun playing “Monster Mash.”
