Rochester, N.Y. - A mother charged in the deaths of her four children in February's Grape Street fire told investigators she was burning photographs of her boyfriend, the morning the fire broke out.

In a criminal complaint, Bobbie Kugler told investigators that the fire spread to other materials on a dresser, spreading the flames.

Kugler escaped the February 18 fire with her 2-year-old son.

Her four children, Gage Reavy, Gregory Kugler, Kandee Kugler, and Kaiden Kugler died upstairs.

Last Friday Rochester Police charged Kugler with four counts of manslaughter and one count of arson.

Two other boys visiting the home were able to escape, Waltquaries Evans and Giovanni Delorm.
