Rochester, N.Y. - There's a new leader for the area's largest cancer treatment center.
Dr. Jonathan Friedberg has been appointed director of the Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
He has served as acting director since last summer.
It's a big job - the number of patients receiving care there has grown at a double digit rate each year since 2009.
Friedberg's mission includes expanding the center's reach and role as a leader in cancer research.
