Rochester, N.Y.- People who have never been diagnosed with cancer are being asked to take part in a long-term study to better understand the disease.
At Rochester’s City Hall Wednesday, local leaders announced the American Cancer Society is recruiting people for Cancer Prevention Study-3.
The study will help researchers better understand the lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer.
Researchers are looking for men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 who have never had a cancer diagnosis and are willing to make a long-term commitment.
Enrollment for CPS-3 will take place May 14 at Carlson MetroCenter and Northwest YMCAs, May 15 at the University of Rochester Medical Center, May 16 at the Northwest and Bay View YMCA YMCAs, May 17 at Rochester General Hospital, and May 18 at the Bay View YMCA.
