Brockport, N.Y.- Two people are in the hospital after the car they were driving in collided head-on with a town of Sweden plow truck on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened on West Canal Road around 2:30 p.m.
Rescuers spent the better part of an hour trying to free the female driver after her leg became pinned under the steering column. Officials were hoping to Mercy Flight the victim to strong but high winds and blowing snow grounded the chopper.
Officials haven't said whether icy roads played a role in the crash, but West Canal Road had a solid coating of ice and snow on it at the time of the crash.
The driver of the plow truck was not injured and both passengers in the car are expected to recover.
