Rochester, N.Y. -- Rochester police say a 4-year-old child who had been left home alone fell head first from a 2nd story window on Weaver Street Wednesday morning.
Police say the child's father left to take his wife to work. When he returned home, he found the child lying in a pool of blood, having fallen 15 feet, head first onto the driveway.
The child has a broken leg, broken collar bone and a possible head injury.
An RPD spokesperson says both both parents were sorry but "that doesn't make up for a lack of judgement for leaving 4-year-old home alone."
Both parents were issued tickets for endangering the welfare of a child.
