Three Boaters Rescued Off Sodus Point

Sodus Point, N.Y. – The Coast Guard rescued three people from Lake Ontario after a boating accident Saturday afternoon.

The boaters called for help just before 5 p.m. when their boat capsized off Sodus Point. A Coast Guard rescue boat pulled all three from the water a short time later.

One person showed signs of hypothermia and was taken to a nearby hospital.

All three were wearing life jackets.
