Colonie, N.Y. -- Police were called to the Colonie Center Tuesday night for the report of a person with a gunshot wound.
Through the course of the investigation police learned the victim accidentally shot himself while changing clothes in the dressing room at Sears.
Robert Talbot, 56, is a retired police officer. He was carrying his personal .22 revolver which discharged while he was changing.
Talbot suffered a gunshot wound to the knee. The injury does not appear to be life-threatening.
