Rochester, N.Y. - Police officers who usually fight crime fought each other Saturday.

Police officers, EMTs and dispatchers squared off in friendly boxing matches against one another as part of the Cop-a-Palooza event.

The contenders spent months training for the big matches. The main event featured Greece Police Chief Todd Baxter versus Lieutenant Scott Peters of the Rochester Police Department.

The program, organized in part by the Badge of Honor Association, raises money for officers and the families of officers who are injured or killed in the line of duty.

"It's grown every year, which we love," said volunteer Sam Lucyshyn.

Each year, the festival partners with a local charity. This year, part of the proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.

"It gives us the chance to give back to the community, and get more and more community members involved in the event," Lucyshyn said.

This was the sixth year for the event. For more information on Copapolooza, go to badgeofhonorassociation.org.
