2-Month Investigation Leads To Brighton Crack Cocaine Arrest

Brighton, N.Y.—  A two-month investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine in Monroe and Orleans Counties has led to the arrest of 25-year-old Jerome Phillips. 

On Tuesday, police searched a vehicle on Genesee Park Boulevard in Rochester. They also raided Phillips’ apartment in Brighton.

Police say they seized more than five ounces of crack cocaine, which included over 250 bags packaged for sale. The drugs have a street value of $15,000.

Police also found over $9,000 in cash, scales, packaging and other drug paraphernalia.

The investigation was collaboration among the Orleans County Major Felony Task Force, the Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team, The Rochester Police Department and the Brighton Police Department. 

The investigation continues and police say further charges and arrests are pending. 

Phillips was arraigned in the Town of Murray Court and committed to the Orleans County Jail. 

He is set to return to court on June 13th.
