Alexander, N.Y. - One person has died following a head-on crash between a pickup truck and tractor trailer on Route 20 near the Town of Alexander in Genesee County Saturday afternoon.
The driver of the pickup truck, 48-year old Frank Demarco of Batavia died at the scene. A passenger in the pickup was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious leg injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer was transported to Strong for medical evaluation, but does not appear to have significant injuries.
Investigators think slippery road conditions and speed may have contributed to the crash. They also say Demarco was not wearing a seatbelt.
