Canandaigua, N.Y. – Fifteen dog teams competed in a dog-relay race on Sunday.

A local dog team in Canandaigua, ‘2 Fast Fur U’, was one of the competing teams.

Another dog team that participated was trying to beat a world record for fastest dogs in a relay race.

“[It's] something for your dog to do," Kathy Allen, captain and owner of ‘2 Fast Fur U’ said. "Another thing that’s really nice is there’s a lot of dogs out there that have a lot of energy and they typically need a job.”

The dogs took part in a course requiring them to be on teams of four.

The dogs took turns sprinting, jumping and retrieving to race to the finish line.
