Brockport, N.Y. - Good samaritans are being credited with rescuing a man Saturday night after his car plunged into the Erie Canal.
The Democrat and Chronicle reports that the driver lost control of his car on Owens Rd. in Brockport because of a medical condition.
Police say witnesses quickly dove into the water and rescued the driver. The driver is recovering at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Police have not released the driver's name or condition.
