Rochester, N.Y. - It started off as a joke. Mary Eggers tweeted Lance Armstrong challenging him to race her in the pool when he speaks at the University At Buffalo next month.

Then Armstrong responded. Telling Eggers: "Push, go, we're on."

She was shocked but psyched. Mary is a competitive swimmer, a nurse and the fitness coach for Teens Living With Cancer and Melissa's Living Legacy.

She is already practicing for the duel in the pool and made a video telling Armstrong she is ready for the challenge.

The event will be held on Saturday April 28th. Armstrong will be in Buffalo that evening as part of the Distinguished Speakers program.

He will race Mary that afternoon at four and then meet privately with teens living with cancer.

The event will benefit Teens Living With Cancer as well as Armstrong's Livestrong charity.
