Rochester, N.Y.- Three upcoming community events will honor the life of an RIT professor found shot to death in Tryon Park earlier this month.

Edline Chun was discovered in the park by a Monroe County maintenance worker on February 6.

In addition to her work at RIT, friends said Chun was a special woman that cared deeply about the city and city neighborhoods; she committed endless hours to three local organizations: Neighbor Works Rochester, Literacy Volunteers, and Sojourner House.

Due to the multitude of affiliations there will be three events next month honoring Chun.

One is a community memorial service to celebrate her friendships, volunteer work, and lifetime of community service, one celebrating Chun's Hawaiian heritage; and another hosted by RIT for colleagues, students, alumni and the public.
