BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will travel to western New York this month to help a fellow Republican in one of the state's most hotly contested House races.

Cantor will head to the Buffalo area Oct. 31 to raise money for former Erie County Executive Chris Collins.

Collins is challenging Democratic Rep. Kathy Hochul, who won the seat in a special election last year.

Polls have shown an extremely tight race.

Former President Bill Clinton attended rallies for Hochul and other New York Democrats on Friday.

Cantor visited Rochester on October 9th in support of congressional candidate Maggie Brooks.
