Rochester, N.Y. – Employees at ITT Exelis Geospatial Systems came together on Saturday to help paint and clean apartments and communal spaces as well as perform landscaping for two local veteran housing facilities.
Chris Young, the president of ITT Exelis, said the reason they do this is “really about the veterans here and our wish to help them and to thank them for their service.”
About 45 employees participated in the event and 80 people overall were there on Saturday.
The event was part of a larger initiative by Exelis employees to address and improve veterans’ needs across the country.
