Rochester, N.Y. – Almost 20 teams participated in the Fight for Air Climb at the Bausch and Lomb building on Saturday to raise funds for lung disease.

More than 100 people, including local firefighters, participated in the event, which had teams climb 20 floors, or over 450 steps to raise money for lung disease.

Bonnie Webster, the development director of the American lung association, said, “People are excited about [the Air Climb] because it’s unique, it’s a different kind of challenge, we’re holding it in November when there’s not a lot of physical challenges."

The event hopes to raise $50,000 for research, advocacy and education for lung disease.
