Rochester, N.Y. – An adult and four children escaped a blaze at a Rochester house late Friday night.

Rochester firefighters responded to a house fire on Galusha Street shortly after 11:00 Friday night. They say the weather made it more difficult than usual to fight the blaze and that those conditions also impacted the intial response time for crews.

The house is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is still undetermined, but it is not considered suspicious. The family that lived at the house is currently staying with friends.
