Italy, N.Y. - A home on Italy Valley Road was destroyed by fire Wednesday.
The Yates County Sheriff's Office said firefighters were called to the home just before 2 p.m.
When they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames.
The family who lives there was not home at the time.
The Sheriff's Office said the home was destroyed.
